Asset Location and Assignment
You can record where each asset is and track it as it moves from place to place, or you can assign it to a person, and have a process for returning the asset, checking its condition, and then re-assigning it to a new employee or retiring it.
Equipment Rental Pricing
For every piece of equipment, set up a deposit cost, then you can make hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and/or annual rental prices. When you rent the item the length of the rental will determine which price is used, and you can choose to round the cost, or have a prorated final pricing.
Process Returns and Damage
Set up a workflow to determine your process for handling returns, including an equipment specific checklist for recording usage (ie odometer), checking for damage, checking that the item is still operating, cleaning, and performing maintenance. You can choose to deduct damages from the deposit or charge separately.
Record Usage with Meters
Record the miles, hours, or other metered use of equipment, or just track the total time it has been rented. Report rental incomes against usage to get cost per use calculated.
Track customer rentals
See every rental a customer has done and automate marketing emails to certain customers based on their history.
